The full-overlay door style leaves roughly a 1/4" clearance on the edge. If installed directly against a wall or deeper cabinet and a cabinet door opening of at least 90 degrees is desired, scribe molding should be installed between the cabinet and the wall (or deeper cabinet). If not, the door may not be able to open a full 90 degrees. For a full opening, a space of at least 1/4-1/2" is necessary, a larger space may be needed depending on the decorative hardware used on the cabinets. The cabinet depth measurement listed is the depth from the front of the face frame to the back of the cabinet, and does not include the cabinet door depth. Easy to assemble and install
Working with RTA was fantastic. The designer put together my vision of what my office should look like. She added in all the details I may have missed and created a clean, functional design. Cabinets were quickly delivered and easy to put together. Hung them myself with no issues. Great experience. Will definitely use them again for my next project!

My first experience with TheRTAStore and frankly a little nervous about purchasing a product like this that for most people would require a hands-on inspection. Then there's the unknown of potential freight damage or shortage issues. As a DIYer for decades, I have always tried to get the most bang for the buck so research led me to TheRTAstore, and the product as well as the process came off very well. The order was delivered to us ahead of the estimated date by several weeks. Didn't expect that. A couple of boxes had some potential damage and was noted on the freight bill. But we discovered nothing damaged inside. The contents of each cabinet unit were arranged and tightly packed with foam and plastic with the possible vulnerable outside pieces being the areas you won't see anyway after assembly. The cabinet model we selected is very good value, with the door and drawer finish are excellent. We're hopeful the painted finish does not discolor and is durable over time and in use, but haven't been in use very long so far. No reason to believe they won't hold up well. The drawer guides and door hinges are excellent and could be found at a much higher price-point of cabinets. The assembly was not difficult for me and should not be for someone who can be honest about their handyman skills being "pretty good". The assembly drawings/instructions might be inadequate for a learner. This project was a bathroom remodel and a built-in desk area in another room. Will be ordering again; the kitchen is next.
Take my advice.. buy the Pre assembled kitchen cabinet. I am a handyman and have a hard time putting the cabinets together. Over all I love the RTA cabinets.
My contractor used these cabinets in his home and recommended them. I am totally pleased. I was going to purchase from Home Depot or Lowe’s and these far surpass the quality
Stellar company and a great product. We chose RTA over already assembled. They are easy to put together and very sturdy. The finish is beautiful and high quality. Everyone that sees our kitchen says it looks like it came out of a magazine. We are incredibly pleased with this company and the cabinets. We recommend them to everyone.
Everything came in well packaged. I did, however, experience a damaged item. I called Customer Service and she jumped right on it. Making sure things were to my expectation. I knew it was just the shipping carriers that damaged the items and didn't make a fuss about really. The damage was no really a big deal than I originally thought and decided not to go further with it. I liked the way they responded to my inquiry. Kudos to the Customer Service Rep! They made me want to look into shopping again with them in the near future.

We had a great experience with The RTA Store. It was very convenient designing the layout with their designer (all through email) especially because we took two walls down (kitchen-dining room & kitchen-living room). I’m a visual person so I needed to see a true 3-D image, 360° to know what the cabinets would actually look like. The cabinets are high-quality and easy to assemble. I have no experience in construction and I was able to assist my contractor putting the cabinets together.
Ordered cabinets and shipping time was good. The cabinets I bought are made out of wood and not MDF, very well built. When they arrived the pallet looked like it had been dropped - twice. It was actually the original pallet which was then put on another pallet after the damage. All cabinets survived except one. I called customer service and got in touch with Heather. She was simply amazing! She truly went above and beyond to make sure I received all the pieces I needed to make the order complete. The follow up on her end was better than expected and she made the whole experience pleasant. Cheers to Heather!!
